James Wilson Darts

James Wilson first made his name in the darting world with a series of high-profile successes in the BDO. ‘Jammy Dodger’ appeared in two televised finals in 2013, losing in the decider of the World Masters to Stephen Bunting, before avenging that defeat with a victory over the same player to win the Zuiderduin Masters.

He rose to the top of the BDO world rankings in 2014 and celebrated that achievement by triumphing at the BDO World Trophy. Wilson won the inaugural staging of the event with a 13-11 victory against Ross Montgomery in the final.

Wilson made the switch from the BDO to the PDC in 2015, winning a two-year tour card at Q-School to compete on the professional circuit. He climbed into the top 32 of the world rankings in 2017, and reached two major quarter-finals at the 2016 European Championship and 2018 World Grand Prix. Despite losing his tour card at the end of the 2023 season, Wilson is still a force to be reckoned with and hit the first nine-dart leg on the PDC circuit in 2024, striking perfection at UK Q-School.
