Kevin Painter Darts

Kevin Painter enjoyed a long and successful career as a professional darts player, winning multiple titles and competing in 24 World Championships. ‘The Artist’ is most remembered for his run to the final of the 2004 PDC World Championship, where he pushed Phil Taylor all the way to a sudden-death leg at the Circus Tavern. The thrilling final went to a 13th and deciding set, where Painter was narrowly edged out 6-5. The match is regarded as one of the most memorable in darts history.

Painter’s crowning moment came some years later when he won the Players Championship Finals in 2011. It was his first and only major title win, a fitting reward for his many years spent playing on the professional circuit. Painter retired from the pro ranks in 2021 but is still playing darts regularly on the World Seniors Darts Tour.
